Alan M. Shaffer - Managing Principal
Mr. Shaffer has 20 years of corporate finance, accounting, merger & acquisition, restructuring and business
planning experience. His clients range from private start-up to Fortune 100 and span a wide range of industries,
including aerospace, consumer products, education, entertainment, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing and
technology.
Prior to founding CFO Advisors LLC, Mr. Shaffer was Principal – Controller Services at Tatum LLC. Tatum LLC is
a US based executive services and consulting firm with approximately 1000 partners and principals in 37 offices
across the country. While at Tatum's Controller group, Mr. Shaffer’s client focus was on SEC restatements and
reporting, reorganizations, corporate financial management, business intelligence, strategic planning and audit
management.
In addition to his work with Tatum LLC, Mr. Shaffer held senior finance, accounting, merger & acquisition and
strategic planning positions with The Walt Disney Company, BAE Systems, Herbalife International, Live Nation and
Medical Pathways Management Corporation.
Mr. Shaffer holds a BS, Finance from Millersville University of Pennsylvania and a MBA, Finance from Saint
Joseph’s University Haub School of Business, Philadelphia. He is a California CPA candidate (2012).
